This week was spent looking into my developing own tag and combining that with my existing prints from last week to introduce colour and develop ideas about texture and shape of final outcome/ garments. The middle print above i want to develop into a rug like material using tufting in the party that a re covered in block colour. With the far right image, i really like the contract of the delicate crepe silk and mono print. It gave a good textured wall effect to the print, as well as allowed the colour to be very bold and vibrant. The colour palette of this sample I really like and want to continue in future experiments. The prints on the photographic prints are still very rough and expressive. i want to look at refining them and taking elements to develop and refine.

In terms of the tag I really like the way the bold B has a nice expressive curve and movement to it but the rest of the word blended together looks too much like the word 'beach', which isn't what I was going for. So therefore I decided to make it far less legible and break the letters into individual shapes (see the far right print).
